Coffee and Gratitude

Coffee and Gratitude

I’m sitting here sipping on my afternoon coffee and I’ve decided, I find Saturdays are the best days for a little reflection and gratitude. It’s been a whirlwind of a few months for me as I worked towards finalising my current exhibition, running the e-store, all the while settling into a brand-new day job and dealing with all the other little unexpected ups and downs that life tends to throw one’s way.

And the months have passed in what feels like an instant! I’ve left a few dishes on the sink for one-too-many-days, we’ve had a few meals on the go because there is not a possibility in the world I have time to cook more than one or two meals a week, the dogs are in desperate need of a bath and my wonderful friends and husband have tolerated me somewhat madly responding to emails and enquiries and quoting artworks on the go. Dear friends have kindly loaned me the use of their ute for art deliveries. Others sit and listen to me ramble about what’s happening or what I have planned for the future, with wide eyes and open minds, followed by constant words of encouragement and support.

And I’m just so grateful. I’m not going to complain about how crazy or hard the last few months have been, because although it’s had it’s challenges, I’m enjoying every minute. I’ve learnt so many new things and struck up a few wonderful new friendships along the way.

A few stars aligned this week, and I’m excited about what the future holds.
