All over the internet (especially Pinterest and Instagram) you'll find bloggers and interior designers talking about the gallery wall. And for good reason. They are a fantastic way to fill a wall and freshen up your space, on a budget. I've created this gorgeous pack of eight, high resolution, 8x10 digital prints that have been bundled up and are ready for download today. You can print them much smaller or as big as 16x20in, too! Whether you opt for lots of larger frames to make a big statement, or just a cluster of little frames in a smaller space - creating a gallery wall is a way to elevate the style in your home, instantly. It's also an affordable option if you arrange to...

I'll never complain about an opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life, and immerse myself in a creative activity. In fact, I look forward to it each and every weekend! Getting stuck into an art or DIY activity can be incredibly relaxing, and a fantastic method to reduce stress. In this post I'll share with you the benefits of getting creative and the therapeutic effects it can have on your body, mind and soul. If you're not sure of where or what to start with, I'll provide some tips on picking the perfect creative activity for you. I'll also share with you my very favorite creative activity and a little bit about how you too can get...

"Printable Art" is a new way to choose and buy art for your home. It allows you to pick your artwork from your computer, buy the digital file direct from the artist, and then arrange to have the artwork printed (either yourself on your home printer) or better - have it printed to canvas by a local or online print shop. Because of the ever-evolving and quite incredible printing technology we have today - these prints can often look just like a real painting to the naked eye. This is why I am a huge fan of printable art. It's environmentally friendly because art prints are only produced in the exact size and shape the buyer wants, and it saves on...

Spring has sprung early here in my little art studio- with a few new pieces inspired by colourful floral blooms and gardens. You can have a sneak peek at the new pieces here and here. This week's free printable is a snippet of the new piece 'Lucida' which features pinks, reds, yellows, greens plus little splashes of just about every colour. You can view the new printable below + click here to download (download size 5mb). I hope you enjoy - don't forget to share using #corinnemelanieart.   ...

Lately, I've been beginning to dabble in using my art for textiles; for products like gloriously long soft scarves and homewares like throw cushions and bedding. Although my picture files are quite big and already high resolution - sometimes I find the need to repeat the pattern. This might be when the print size is ultra big (a la bedspreads) or - sometimes the pattern actually looks better on a particular product repeated. I'm quite new to Photoshop. (As in, I've only started using it and Adobe Creative Cloud in the past few months). But honestly - I don't know why I didn't install and start using it sooner. As a creative, it's a must have for editing my artwork photographs and mocking...

Today's free printable is a colorful mix of pinks, greens and whites, from my original artwork "Orbis". This abstract art print is ready-to-print and frame at 8x10 size - or, use it as a mobile phone wallpaper. You can read more about "Orbis" here // and you can download the free printable by clicking here. Please share how your new art looks in your home by tagging #corinnemelanieart - I always love to see how my art looks in its new home!  ...
